KRYFS AT A GLANCE
Today, KRYFS services the entire value chain of energy supply from generation (of Solar Power), Transmission (through its EPC business) to distribution (through the manufacture of transformers, cores, and fabrication) and employs over 750 people, all over India.
KRYFS has ten manufacturing facilities for manufacturing of distribution and medium power transformers up to 10 MVA, 33 KV class, laminations, transformer cores, transformer tanks, and lifting slings. Four units are located at Kherdi, Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, one unit at Palghar, Maharashtra, three units in Savli, Gujarat, and two in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
KRYFS Power Components Ltd. (KPCL) commenced operations in December 1992 as a manufacturing and trading company, with its first manufacturing plant in Palghar, Maharashtra, 110 kms from Mumbai. Considering the ever-growing demand for electricity in all parts of the country, KPCL initiated with manufacturing the most critical raw material for the manufacture of transformers, CRGO laminations and transformer core.
From a humble beginning of 120 MT per annum in December 1992 to 50,000 MT per annum in 2017 and expanding the value chain from generation to distribution has been an exciting journey full of learning and many achievements.
KRYFS has expanded its product rage to include transformers from 10 KVA (33 KV class), CRGO laminations upto 765 KV class (India’s first POWRGRID certified manufacturer) and transformer tanks upto 765 KV class (at its facility in Bhopal).
KRYFS acquired Pratik Transformers Pvt. Ltd. in the year 2012 [now known as KRYFS Transformers Pvt. Ltd. (KTPL)]. Certified in QMS as per ISO 9001-2008, KTPL started manufacturing Distribution transformers in the year 2003, having one manufacturing unit and one repair unit in Vadodara. Today, we manufacture and repair distribution transformers from 10 KVA up to 2000 KVA, 33 KV class. Both the units are equipped with state of the art manufacturing and testing facilities. Our transformers conform to national and international standards. Our complete range of transformers has been type tested for Dynamic and Thermal ability to withstand short circuit, impulse (both full wave and copped wave), temperature rise test, noise level, Tan delta and capacitance etc. at NABL laboratories CPRI & ERDA. More than 10,000 per year distribution transformers are working satisfactorily in many utilities.
Having been successful in operating a manufacturing and repair unit, KRYFS has opened its third factory in Vadodara, specializing in cutting cores for distribution transformers.
With quarter on quarter growth for over the years, in the year 2012, Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC), Japan, a $80 Billion subsidiary of Toyota Motors, acquired a strategic stake in KRYFS, which was subsequently increased to 20% in 2013.
KRYFS has a technical collaboration with Slingmax Inc, U.S.A. for manufacturing special twin path slings, webbing and round slings, under the brand name of Slingset.

Saif F Qureishi
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
The world we live in is becoming more Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) and we are in a completely different business environment today then we were when KRYFS commenced business in December 1992.
In December 2022, we complete 30 years of existence. Along the way, we have managed to touch millions of lives, by providing transformer cores to some of the biggest transformers built in India, which have provided power to India’s power grid. We have therefore impacted the lives of thousands of farmers and villagers, built transmission lines and substations in rural areas which enable people to experience the electricity for the first time and producing lacs of kW hours of solar energy, thereby saving thousands of tons of carbon dioxide polluting our environment and leaving a greener planet.
We are serving society and participating in the making of “New India” that will be a developed country for our future generations to live in.

Quality Control
The continued success of KRYFS is accredited to our ability to constantly improving our range of products and services while safeguarding our people and the environment in which they work and live. It is a commitment which is in the best interests of our customers, our employees and our stockholders.
Due to cut-throat competition in the industry it has become a common practice to compromise on quality to fight the price war, but at KRYFS, quality is a core, non-negotiable process. In adherence to laws in many countries, periodic factory inspection by certifying agencies is mandatory for CRGO Cores.
KRYFS QC inspection starts with checking of raw materials for compliance with all specifications and our products are inspected at all stages – from production to delivery. Our in-house NABL lab ensures that each CRGO coil coming in to the KRYFS premises is tested for allowed losses. Our stringent processes ensure that high quality standards are reflected in the project results. We follow – ISO-9001: 2008; ISO – 14001: 2004; OHSAS – 18001 diligently. Our management system not only works to predict problems but proactively prevent them from happening. We are the trusted and authorized lamination cutting facility for 4 Lamination manufacturers around the world (AK Steel – USA, Bao Steel – China, JFE – Japan and Tata Steel).
